About Me

Hello all, I am Dark Neptune, or you could call my real name, [censored due to personal reasons]. I am from the Southeast Asian country, Singapore(Ya, the "small" island) I came to Halopedia to learn more about Halo, as I became a real fan. I started playing halo through Multiplayer from Halo 2, introduced by my friends in Feb 2007, and gotten really good about it. I came to Halopedia by learning about it from Wikipedia in August 2007.

If you want to get things Done Right..

Now I am such a somewhat pro that when playing multiplayer I need to have minor handicaps. Still, I can't beat exactly Legendary always as its somewhat still Difficult for me, but Heroic itself already makes me feel heroic myself when I kill living things in Halo. Unfortunately, I do not have Xbox Live due to personal reasons and matters, but I can connect to it. I recently got an Xbox 360, so now I can play Halo 3 with ease.

I am in Secondary School(a.k.a High School, American language.) this year but ain't going back to school due to personal and family reasons and matters respectively(Note: Finacial probs are not included). I am an amateur astronomer, so if there's anything astronomy-related stuff from Halo you need to ask, I will be glad to answer.(Have to make sure I know the answer hehe...).

Here at Halopedia, I will try my best to crush vandalisms and forum probs regarding Halopedia. I am not easily bad tempered by "personal attacks", so if you offend me I should forgive.

Note: The reason why I am creating my user page now instead of months ago which then I join Halopedia, is because I went on like this forever-not knowing how to create of edit pages for fear I do something terribly and horribly wrong, and it was time I learned.

Update:I have finally got my Rollback Rights.

Remember at Halopedia, we're here to have fun and learn.

Halo Wars Campaign Mission Strategies

  • Note: This is for people playing on Heroic and Legendary. And before trying out the missions on these suicidal difficulties, I recommend you to find all the skulls, and turn the Catch, Sugar Cookies, Pain Train, Bountiful Harvest and Emperor skulls to may the completion of the levels much easier. (Additional Note: Turn the Look Daddy!, Grunt Birthday Party and/or Wuv Woo skulls if you want some laughs during gameplay.)

1. Alpha Base - The main thing to complete this mission is to get your Warthogs and Marines to use the Special (Y) ability more often on Covenant enemies. And when dealing with them, try to get your units to stay together, so more firepower on an opponent reduces the casualties inflicted on a unit or two. On Legendary, beware that there are more Shade turrets, so try to get your Marines to throw grenades at them as often as you can. And only one of the Wraiths at the end of the level gets bombed, so you have to take out nearby Covenant Infantry first to minimize damage on your units. Do this by sending a Warthog near them, then "Lure" them outside the base. As for the Wraith, just continue getting the Marines to throw grenades (Side Note: Warthogs ramming vehicles will lose their health.) at the tank and make sure the Wraith fires at a Warthog or Marine. Major Note: If Sergeant Forge dies, the mission fails. So be sure to use "Heal And Repair" if he's low on health. Although make good use of it, as you can only use it once in the mission.

2, Relic Approach - The key thing on this mission is to get at least 3 Warthogs and nearly 10 Marine squads up and running on your base, and build turrets. Take yout time, research every unit's ability, and once done, get a Vehicle Depot up and running and research Scorpion and Cobra upgrades as well, and improve your turrets by adding a Flame Mortars. Why? Because Spirit dropships every now and then will drop off Covenant Infantry units to harass your base. And occasionally from the alternate entrance Ghosts will too. So place a Cobra on that entrance to combat the threat from Ghost. When your army is done, make sure the population cap is 30/30 and you're armed with at least 3 Warthogs, 5-10 units of Marines and Flamethrowers each, and the rest being Scorpion tanks and maybe an additional Cobra. Go from the alternate entrance, where once you clear a landing pad, you get additional bits of reinforcements, and it exceeds your pop cap. Then destroy the nearby methane refinery to prevent Spirit dropships to reinforce the Covenant base nearby. Release the nearby Warthogs for slightly more firepower. Now, Heal And Repair majority of the units, and once done, search for nearby Jackal Snipers, kill them, and then charge at the Covenant Base. Don't be horrified: There are Locusts and Hunters alongside Covenant turrets defending the base. Simple focus all units on the Locusts and Hunters and Turrets. Then, next try to destroy a Covenant building, either a "Factory" or "Hall". Destroying either of these will prevent Hunters/Locusts from appearing from the base. Take note that more Covenant Spirit dropships will also assist the situation by sending more Grunt/Elite squads, Jackals and Hunters and maybe a Ghost or two. During the battle, try to use Heal And Repair on the Scorpions. And remember, to get the units to use the special (Y) ability often on certain units. Flamethrowers can use their (Y) ability, which throws Flashbang grenades at a Infantry unit and stun them. So it's crucial to use them on Hunters to prevent the loss of Scorpion tanks too early. On Legendary, its evitable the attack will fail, though you have some success. Fear not, get back to your base and rebuild your army. And once you're done, head back to the Covenant base, and you will find that the base is still damaged from the previous assault and take advantage of that and finish up. After its destroyed, head to the relic. Over there, Ghosts will appear from inside the relic and from Spirit dropships. Use Scorpions to counter them, while get the Marines/Flamethrowers and Warthogs into the relic and destroy the detonator.

3. Relic Interior - Once you get control your Grizzlies, waste no time. Head inside the relic, destroy Covenant units as much as you can. For Shade Turrets, make sure you get one tank to use the (Y) ability to blast it off. Then get another to deal with a Grunt squad on top of a Sniper Tower. continue heading towards Forge and Anders' position, and once the Grizzlies' (Y) ability has recharged, get each of them to use it on the Hunters harassing Forge and Anders. Beware, if the Hunters turn their attention on you, they can destroy your tanks real fast, so contrate on a pair of Hunters at a time or you're in deep shit. Once Anders is under your control, get her to repair both of your tanks, and head to the east bridge (Don't waste time activating that funny Suicidal Grunt cutscene) and let Anders' do her stuff. Here, set up a tank to counter enemies from the West, another to counter enemies from the North and East, and get the Marines and Forge station at both checkpoints to assist. Nearby, there is a Sniper Tower, so garrision a Marine squad to assist the Grizzly guarding against enemies from the West. When done, remember to eject the Marines that were garrisioned in the Sniper Tower, and make sure the Grizzly tanks head out first, as there will be a Wraith and Shade turrets awaiting you. Get the Grizzlies to fire the (Y) ability on the tank, and if its not destroyed yet, get the Marines to use their (Y) ability as well, to throw grenades to finish the Wraith off. Once all units are not on the Lightbridge, deactivate it to prevent Covenant from harassing you from the North. Now, try to get Anders to heal the tanks, and quickly head out. When the part where many Hunters come, station the Grizzly tanks and Marines there, while get Forge and Anders out of the relic and towards the Landing Zone.
