Spartan Ops[edit]

Would anyone agree that it would be more practical if Template:Spartanops was fused with the main Halo 4 levels template? I don't see any new season coming, and even if Halo 5 were to have new Spartan Ops episodes, I still believe Spartan Ops levels should stay with their own game, exactly like Campaign, Firefight and Multiplayer levels. I agree. --Weeping Angel (talk) 10:26, 1 November 2014 (EDT)
Before I try to do anything clumsily, I would also like to suggest that we should simply get rid of the complex naming scheme for Spartan Ops chapters (i.e. "Didact's Hand/The Chase"). I'm sure it just makes it more difficult if you're searching for this level. Most chapters have a unique name (i.e. "Shootout in Valhalla", "Nothing Can Go Wrong", "Unfinished Business", etc), so just searching for these names should lead you to the correct article directly, instead of that, for example. Of course, there are some exceptions ("Sniper Alley", "Glassman"), but a mention like that should be enough: "This page is about the location. For the Spartan Ops chapter, see Sniper Alley (Spartan Ops level)". Or something like that. Nothing too difficult. Same for Glassman or other similar chapters. For some, like "Spartan Miller" or "Spartan Thorne", we should directly give the chapter its correct name, since people are never going to use these names if they're searching for the characters. Not sure if I'm clear, but basically it simplifies everything. (Oh the irony) Imrane-117 (talk) 18:02, 3 November 2014 (EST)
I agree the current format is unwieldy and unnecessary. I believe "(Spartan Ops)", without the "level", would be enough to disambiguate the titles that need it. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 00:09, 4 November 2014 (EST)
Yeah, not sure why I made it so lengthy. Actually we could just go for the standard solution used on this site, to say "(level)" plain and simple, like Requiem and Requiem (level), or Forerunner and Forerunner (level). Usually, the game's title is used only when there are several levels with the same name, like Halo (Halo: Combat Evolved level) versus Halo (Halo 3 level). So the location would be "Sniper Alley" and the level would be "Sniper Alley (level)". Not sure why I discarded this style in the first place... Imrane-117 (talk) 07:59, 4 November 2014 (EST)
True, I suppose that works better. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 11:50, 4 November 2014 (EST)
