DEADEYE-class Mjolnir is a variant of MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor manufactured by Hannibal Weapon Systems.[1]

GEN2 overview[edit]

Design details[edit]

The suits are tailored to Spartan snipers, fitted with emissions cloaking, heavy-duty waste recycling, and redundant rebreathers for extended combat excursions in any environment.[4] While designed for extreme-range operations the suit still is functional in both mid and close range.[1] Deadeye can be optimized for extreme long-range target purging for the extreme end of sniper-oriented Spartan armor. With the smart-linked VISR software with movement-distance calibration, Deadeye has been updated to assist snipers at ranges that greatly exceed traditional firing accuracy.[1]

The helmet has an enclosed PZ-238 rebreather system. The VISR has a point-isolated, VISR focal software used for extreme-range targeting.[1] All Deadeye helmets also have a small piece of alloy from ships resting in the wreckage above Tribute's poles.[4]

Development history[edit]

Testing on an early prototype[5] of the DEADEYE suit was done on ANVIL Station in conjunction with Sangheili Rangers of the Swords of Sanghelios. These tests aimed to improve the suit's stealth capabilities.[2]

The Deadeye variant's final production run[5] was manufactured by Hannibal Weapon Systems. It was originally tested in Tribute's ship graveyard in Tribute's northern pole, and was designed for use by experienced Spartan marksmen.[3] During the testing the Spartans were placed in zero-gravity to affect long-range combat against exoatmospheric drones hidden among the wreckage.[1]

At some point in 2558, Spartan Kojo Agu tested another Deadeye prototype during a counter-piracy operation on Concord.[6]

Usage[edit]

Although Deadeye is rare in the field, the armor is highly regarded by its advocates.[1]

GEN3 overview[edit]

Development history[edit]

Following the introduction of the Mjolnir GEN3, the Deadeye helmet was upgraded to the new platform.

Trivia[edit]

Production notes[edit]

  • The concept art for the Deadeye helmet on pre-order adverts was sketched over a render of an Air Assault helmet.
  • Pre-release images for Season 03 of Halo Infinite would show Deadeye with the RS[3]/WOLFTOOTH attachment. Ultimately, the attachment would not be compatible with the helmet upon release, and remained exclusive to the Flanker helmet.
