The SECOPS armor is a variant of the UNSC Marine Corps Battle Dress Uniform.[3]

Overview[edit]

Design details[edit]

The SECOPS helmet is a fully-enclosed helmet equipped with an off-world rebreather system,[3] with the TorLINK-TS target acquisition system being an additional optional attachment.[4] Typically complemented by a stunblade,[2] the armor is made with a specialized composite engineered by the Office of Naval Intelligence, while the pauldrons are reinforced for heavy combat,[3] with attach points for lights, acoustic hailers, and other security gear.[5] The gear is typically worn above a more standard ballistic assault vest.

Usage[edit]

The SECOPS armor was designed for counterinsurgency and precision interventions.[6][Note 1] The SECOPS armor is typically used by ONI Response Teams and Security Force officers,[1][3] especially in high-threat environments.[2] It is also worn by heavy infantry in the UNSC Marine Corps.[7] The armor is also upgraded to be compatible with the MJOLNIR [GEN3] platform.[1]

During the Battle of Requiem in July 2557, Marine commissioned officer Paolo Jiminez used a set of green SECOPS armor.[8]

SECOPS armor was dispatched to the Avery J. Johnson Academy of Military Science by ONI Security.[6][Note 1]

In-game information[edit]

Halo Infinite[edit]

SECOPS made its debut in Halo Infinite during 2025's Summer Update, releasing with the Last Stand Operation. Being free rewards for the Operation Pass, the SECOPS helmet and its associated components are primarily available on the Mark VII armor core.
