XANTIPPE-class Mjolnir, or Mk. IV/X, is a MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor helmet variant, designed for the MJOLNIR Mark IV platform.[1]

The helmet is compatible with the "Glassnight" suite, a combination of both MK50 CBRN and the TAS/ODDNIGHT attachments; this suite would be used by Spartan-IIs technical assessment teams assigned to study Covenant plasma bombardments in the first years of the Human-Covenant War.[2]

Development history[edit]

The Xantippe helmet was designed and proposed by the UNSC High Command in 2524 with the objective of reducing the cost for the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor's development.[1] However, the HIGHCOM's proposal was sabotaged by Dr. Catherine Halsey, and the Xantippe's final design met her exact specifications.

Production notes[edit]

The name Xantippe alludes to Xanthippe, the wife of Socrates. The Xantippe helmet first made its appearance in Halo Infinite in January, 2024 during Content Update 29, and could be found in the room holding the Brokkr Armor Mechanism on the multiplayer map Illusion. The helmet would be added to the game's API during this time, but would remain unavailable. It was finally made available for purchase in the Shop with the release of the Legacy Operation in June of 2025.
