The Ground Troops Armor System, or GTAS, is an armor system used by UNSC Marines.
Overview[edit]
Development history[edit]
The GTAS was originally developed by the Colonial Military Authority and it was considered the best and cheapest armor system by the time of its introduction. The armor was then adopted by the UNSC Marine Corps as part of their battle dress uniforms. By 2560, the GTAS was made compatible with Spartan operatives wearing MJOLNIR [GEN3].[1][2]

Halo Infinite[edit]
The GTAS armor made its debut in Halo Infinite during 2025's Spring Update, released with the Frontlines Operation. Most of the GTAS armor components are primarily available on the Mark VII armor core.
