MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Athlon is a variant of the GEN2 MJOLNIR powered armor used during live-fire War Games exercises. It contains multiple layers of redundant safety systems to reduce the change of injury in such exercises.[1] Developed by Misriah Armory, it is much sleeker than most MJOLNIR variants, reminiscent of the series' Contoured-pattern gauntlets and greaves.[2] The Athlon helmet features an inner layer with a magnetorheological dampening system specifically crafted for Spartan physiology.[1]
