Trivia

  • The novel's title makes reference to the Prophet of Mercy's quote on Halo 2 when he describes Installation 05 and how it will begin the Covenant's Great Journey. It is also a reference to a quote from the Psalm of the Journey on page 3: "the galaxy will be cleansed by a Divine Wind."
  • It's revealed that Intrepid Eye survived the six years between Halo: Retribution and Halo: Divine Wind. She is finally destroyed by the UNSC Spirit of Fire. The book reveals that ONI eventually discovered her network and dispatched millions of dumb AI hunter-killer teams to destroy it, leaving the ancilla so isolated that she was unaware of the asteroidea outbreak on Argent Moon until Operation: BIRD IN HAND. While she was believed to have been destroyed along with the station, Intrepid Eye barely managed to escape by latching on to the Acrisius as Blue Team made their own escape.
