Flag is a short promotional piece for the Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn webseries. It depicts two cadets at the Corbulo Academy of Military Science as they discuss their upcoming Capture the Flag training. It was released on September 7, 2012 on Halo Waypoint[1] and on YouTube by MachinimaPrime.[2] Like the Cyro trailer, the two featured Cadets are JJ and Dimah Tchakova.
Transcript
Scene opens to JJ and Dimah Tchakova panting and leaning against a wall. Both are looking back as if they were hiding.
- JJ: "I think we're safe."
Tchakova turns to look at him.
- Dimah Tchakova: "You ever play this back home?"
JJ nods and smiles.
- JJ: "Yeah. Used to play in the woods behind our houses in the summer."
Cuts to several shots of a serene forest under a bright sunlight. Birds are heard chirping.
- JJ (voiceover): ""Had games with the neighborhood kids. We'd meet up after dinner..."
Cuts back to JJ and Tchakova.
- JJ: "...we'd split up into teams and set up our bases."
Cuts back to the forest.'
- JJ (voiceover): "Once we found a good spot to plant our flag, we'd go searching for the other team."
Cuts to a running cadet's boots, then to the forest.
- JJ (voiceover): "We'd try to track 'em. Looking for footprints, torn mots, broken branches."
Cuts back to JJ.
- JJ: "I remember listening for a twig snap."
Cuts back to the forest, then to a cadet running through the forest behind some trees.
- JJ (voiceover): "And breath."

- JJ: "Felt like I was hunting them."
- Voice (COM): "Second squad, red flag located."
The duo puts on their battle uniform helmets and ready their assault rifles.
- Voice (COM): "Grid B-7. One minute until RV. On my mark."
Cuts to JJ and Tchakova standing behind a wall."
- Voice (COM): "Three... two..."
- Dimah Tchakova: "You ready?"
- Voice (COM): "One..."
- JJ: "Let's go get that flag."
The duo moves.
