A Protector plant is an underground variant of the Forerunner Sentinel manufacturing facility, capable of constructing Protector Sentinels. The Protector Sentinels exit the facility via a tunnel connecting the facility to its exterior. Like the Sentinel shop, the square-shaped exit is characterised by four pillars at each of its corners, but the Protector plants lack the two protrusions on the exit's inner wall. Two such facilities were located within the shield world Etran Harborage.[1]

Gameplay

  • Offensive Protector: Attach this to a single squad to have the Protector attack targets that are shooting the protected squad.
    • Cost: Population 1, Tech level 0, Supplies 100
    • Purchase cooldown: 30 seconds
  • Healing Protector: Attach this to a single squad to have the Protector heal the protected squad out of combat.
    • Cost: Population 1, Tech level 0, Supplies 100
