The Fence is a defensive structure used by the United Nations Space Command. It takes the form of Czech hedgehog fortifications deployed in key chokepoints to slow down the passage of enemy units.

Halo Wars 2[edit]
Fences are a kind of fortification available for use by UNSC players in the Awakening the Nightmare expansion for Halo Wars 2. It can only be built at the fortification sites found on the map The Last Bastion in Terminus Firefight.
When-constructed, Fences will slow (though not stop) enemy units who attempt to pass through it. They can be upgraded to Barricades, which are larger and more-fortified and entirely prevent passage through. Barricades can be further-upgraded with special abilities.
