Bunker Drops are a kind of air-deployable garrison structure used by the United Nations Space Command. It has enough fire points for squads of infantry and a built—in table for card games while the troops wait for enemies to wander by.[1]

In-game information[edit]

Halo Wars 2[edit]

The Bunker Drop is a deployable ability available to Sergeant Johnson in the multiplayer of Halo Wars 2. Activating the ability will allow the player to deploy a UNSC bunker anywhere in their line of sight on the battlefield, from which they and their allies can garrison infantry for protection. Deploying the ability works in a similar manner to deploying ODSTs or other leader powers, wherein the bunker will immediately drop into the battlefield and be ready for use.[2]

By default the bunker can hold up to Population three units, though they can be upgraded to upgrade their health and Population population capacity. Bunkers dropped before the upgrade will not be retroactively upgraded with new stats.

Placing a Sniper inside a bunker will allow the troops stationed within to spot cloaked units, thus allowing the bunker to defend itself from sneak attacks.

  • Bunker Drop I
    • Info: drops a deployable bunker onto the battlefield capable of holding Population 3 infantry.
    • Tier: 2
    • Cost: Supplies 300, Power 0 (default)
    • Cooldown: 90 seconds
  • Bunker Drop II - Unlocked at Tier II
  • Info: upgrades the bunker's capacity to Population 4 infantry, alongside increasing its health.
  • Cost: Supplies 400, Power 0
    • Cooldown: 90 seconds

Upon the release of the Johnson DLC, the bunker required Population 3 to call in, though this requirement was removed in the Season 6 launch patch. The bunker's Phoenix Log still references the population requirement, however. The Season 11 launch patch further reduced the bunker's Supplies supply requirements from 350/250 to 300/400.

The Bunker Drop is also available as a Blitz card for use by Johnson in the Blitz multiplayer mode. The card is Uncommon and costs Blitz Energy 50 to use.

Home away from home.

The Bunker Drop is an air-droppable garrison building used by the UNSC. It is permanent, but does cost population capacity. It has enough fire points for squads, and has a built—in table for card games while the troops wait for enemies to wander by. The Reinforced Bunker upgrade increases its infantry capacity and adds a shield.
