The Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn teaser trailer is a short trailer for the upcoming live-action Halo series named Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. The teaser was first published in Machinima.com's YouTube channel on July 1, 2012.[1] It later made its debut on Halo Waypoint.[2] It runs for 55 seconds.
The video features what appears to be a UNSC Marine Corps variant of the military cadence Sound Off.
Transcript
Video opens with a black screen. A marching percussion beat is heard.
- Men: "Helljumper, helljumper, where ya' been?"
Scene cuts and pans over discarded rounds on a metal floor. Steam can be seen on the side. An short electric spark reveals a sign of a star on the floor. Fades to black.
- Men: "We bust into hell and back again!"
Scenes cuts back to panning over the metal floor, now zoomed out to show a fallen dented metal fence as well as the discarded rounds seen previously. Another electric spark reveals a row of cryo-chambers in the background. Fades to black.
- Men: "When I die please bury me deep!"
Scene cuts back to the row of the cryo-chambers. More electric sparks set off from the walls around it. More steam could be seen being ejected off the cryo-chambers. Fades to black.
- Men: "Place my MA5 down by my feet!"
Scene cuts back to the cryo-chambers. A black figure appears as the lights flicker. Cuts to black. the figure is revealed to be a Spartan-II holding a pistol. The figure, presumably John-117, slowly turns. Cuts to black.
