Achievements (Halo: The Master Chief Collection)

There are a total of 700 achievements in Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which are worth a total of 7,000 Gamerscore gamerscore. Most of the achievements in The Master Chief Collection are divided among the several games within the collection, but there is also several achievements that require the player or allow the player to unlock them on all of the games within the collection.[1] The Master Chief Collection contains more achievements and unlockable Gamerscore than any previous Halo game—even more than any other game released on Xbox Live.[2] Before launch day there were 400 achievements worth 4,000 Gamerscore. On launch day, an additional set of 50 achievements worth 500 Gamerscore was added.[3] On January 8, 2015, a content update was released for the Master Chief Collection, adding 50 new achievements and 500 Gamerscore, raising the amount of Gamerscore to 5,000.[4] When Halo 3: ODST was added, 100 more achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore were added. When Halo: Reach was added, 100 more achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore were added, bringing the final total to 700 achievements worth 7,000 Gamerscore.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary has 91 unique achievements for a total of 855 Gamerscore. Halo 2: Anniversary has 111 achievements with 1,005 Gamerscore, the most achievements and Gamerscore from a single game that is within the collection. Halo 3 contains 76 achievements for 695 Gamerscore. Halo 4 includes 51 achievements that total to 570 Gamerscore, the least within the collection. Finally, there are 72 achievements for a total of 875 Gamerscore that are not specifically tied to a single game and usually require the player to achieve a certain statistic across several games. Additionally, some of the achievements within the collection were already present when a game from the collection was previously released individually.[1][2]
