The '''Suicidal Jackal''' is a [[glitch]]ed [[Kig-yar|Jackal]] found in ''[[Halo 2]]'' <nowiki>'</nowiki>s [[Campaign]] level, [[Outskirts (Level)|Outskirts]]. The glitch causes an enemy [[Jackal Sniper]] to mysteriously drop dead.


To see him,play through [[Outskirts]] normally, but when you are past the alley way with the [[drones]],proceed to the next alley,go through it a bit and stop, turn left and you should see a jackal sniper.Do not kill him.go through the level with him alive and trigger a checkpoint.Go back to the Jackal.You should see him fall over and die by himself.It only works when you see him, and he sees you.

I don't know how that's possible but it might have something to do with past characters having to be dead once you trigger a checkpoint.
Also, randomly, you can see a [[Jackal Sniper]] kill himself on the level [[Regret (Halo 2 level)|Regret]]. This Jackal Sniper will appear where the [[turrets]] are, right after the [[gondola]]. The Jackal will run, drift, and fall to the lake.

The Suicidal Jackal is a glitched Jackal found in Halo 2 's Campaign level, Outskirts. The glitch causes an enemy Jackal Sniper to mysteriously drop dead.

Walkthrough[edit]

To see the affected Jackal, play through the level normally until you are past the alleyway, otherwise known as "Sniper alley", with the Drones. Proceed to the next alley, go through a bit, stop, and turn left and you should see a Jackal Sniper. Do not kill him. Go trigger a checkpoint. Go back to the Jackal, and you should see him fall over and die by himself. It only works when you are both aware of each others' presence, similar to enabling a cheat in Halo: Developer mode.

Also, randomly, you can see a Jackal Sniper kill himself on the level Regret. This Jackal Sniper will appear where the turrets are, right after the gondola. The Jackal will run, drift, and fall to the lake.
