If you're firing a Battle Rifle burst, and do another quick action (except reloading), there's a chance another bullet or more will appear or be used. For example, if you fire BR bursts until 24 bullets are left and quickly throw a grenade, you may end up with 23 or 25 bullets soon after. If you melee right as you fire a Battle Rifle burst, there is a chance that you will fire only one to two bullets.

The Battle Rifle Ammo Glitch is a glitch that occurs when using the Battle Rifle during a Multiplayer match in Halo 3. It happens both on Xbox Live games and on local games, but is more common on Live. The glitch is thought to be caused by lag. It can be seen in many videos in which the Battle Rifle is used.Template:Fact
