Operation: HIVEBREAKER

Operation: HIVEBREAKER was a military operation undertaken by the United Nations Space Command in 2560. The operation involved the deployment of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODSTs) and Hellbringers, led by Staff Sergeant Tarkov, to a Yanme'e hive in contested territory.^[1]

Production notes[edit]

Operation: HIVEBREAKER is a nod to two real-world ODST products. The first is the Helldivers 2 x Halo ODST crossover which released alongside Helldivers 2's "Into the Unjust" update, allowing players to deploy underground into bug hives to deploy the eponymous Hivebreaker drill to destroy the hives. The other reference is to the MEGA Brands "ODST Hive Exterminators" set, which features Tarkov, his team, and several Yanme'e warriors.^[2]
