On the level [[the Armory]] where there is the sheild drainer there is a glitch that allows you to stay out side of it while it drains your sheilds.

Start the level on any difficulty. Now go through the part where it asks you if you want inverted aiming and head over to the recharging [[energy sheild]]s station. Once the "Hold E to start energy sheild test" appears navigate around to where the [[marine]] is standing and when the message appears again, activate it. Strangely your sheilds will still go down even though you are not in it.

Shield drainer evasion is a glitch that can be performed in the Halo 2 level, The Armory. It allows the player to stay outside of it while it drains John-117's energy shielding.

Walkthrough[edit]

Start the Armory on any difficulty. Go through the orientation process until you reach the recharging energy shields station. Once the "Hold A to start energy shield test" appears, navigate around to where the Master Gunnery Sergeant is standing. When the message appears again, activate it. Strangely, John-117's energy shielding will still go down even though he is not in the energy draining station.
