- "In the garden's hush, a warrior blooms in peace – petals brace for storm."
- — Tenrai IV haiku[1]
Tenrai IV is an operation in Halo Infinite. Following Banished Honor, Tenrai IV ran from June 4, 2024 to July 2, 2024, and like its predecessors, focuses on the Tenrai Fractures continuity and the Yoroi core.[2] Tenrai IV would be the last Tenrai event within Halo Infinite, and was followed by Anvil.
Overview[edit]
Tenrai IV playlist[edit]
Like the Tenrai III event, a time-limited thematic playlist called "Tenrai IV" was added to Halo Infinite during the operation. All maps in this playlist are Forge-made and share a Japanese aesthetic. Two new gamemodes were added in this operation: Juggernaut and Ninjanaut.[3]
- Juggernaut
The player that becomes the Juggernaut has a shield buff, damage resistance, and a speed boost, and is armed with a Halbashi Workshop gravity hammer and the Quantum Translocator. The gamemode was created by Djungelskog7425, Bonk Salsa, and ODSTorien.[3]
- Ninjanaut
The Juggernaut is armed with a Meluth'qelos-pattern energy sword, bottomless Anskum-pattern plasma grenades, and a Grappleshot, while the enemy players are armed with Threat Seekers. The Juggernaut is also equipped with a time-limited Active camouflage, with the Juggernaut being able to reset this time limit by killing enemy players. The gamemode was created by Djungelskog7425 and Max Extra.[3]

Tenrai IV content[edit]
Content for Tenrai IV is available through a 20 tier operation pass, which is perpetually available through Halo Infinite's switcher. Tenrai IV was initially free on launch, allowing players to progress through the operation pass over the course of its month-long tenure, with challenges and general XP contributing to the pass' levels. While free, players could purchase the premium pass for 500 cR, providing a non-expiring operation pass which could be progressed at any time, along with the Onyx Edge armor coating as a bonus item. Upon Tenrai IV's end, its operation pass was replaced by Anvil's pass, and locked to those who did not purchase it; as per before, it remains indefinitely accessible through Infinite's switcher.

Production notes[edit]
The Yoroi content featured in the Eyes of the Emperor bundle was originally slated to launch during Tenrai IV, with its content being marked as Season 7002 within Infinite's API. For unknown reasons, this set for Yoroi was shifted to Season 8002 instead with an update released the day of Tenrai IV's launch, and would release three months later during the Champions operation in September, 2024.[4]
