Great Journey was an Operation in Halo Infinite. Beginning on November 5, 2024, and ending on December 3, 2024, the Operation focused on Halo 2's 20th anniversary, with Halo 2-themed cosmetics for the Mark VII armor core. The Operation saw the introduction of the MA5K Avenger, a new weapon filling the SMG role within Halo Infinite's sandbox, alongside a third-person viewmode for Firefight.
A new Halo Waypoint Chronicle, Halo: Age of Retribution, was released to coincide with the operation and its focus on Halo 2.
