HAZMAT was a multiplayer event for Halo Infinite that was held between June 27 and July 11, 2023. The first event of Season 04: Infection, HAZMAT focused on HAZMAT personnel and its rewards were themed around the newly launched armor core of the same name.[1] HAZMAT would be followed by Tenrai II the following month.

HAZMAT content[edit]

HAZMAT's content could originally be earned through a 10 tier event pass over the course of its two week tenure. Like events that arrived during the Winter Update, progress could be furthered through the completion of one of ten weekly challenges available to the player, or through XP earned by playing the game with the newly implemented "Match XP beta".

Helmet options earned through HAZMAT would be made available on all armor cores during Season 05: Reckoning, with shoulder pad options following with the release of Spirit of Fire in January of 2024. Armor coatings earned would be made available on all armor cores with the release of Fleetcom in July of the same year. Rewards earned through HAZMAT's event pass would be added to the Exchange during Reclaimer in July of 2025.[1]

Weekly rewards[edit]

Two unique weekly challenges with exclusive rewards were available during HAZMAT. When completed, the first week's challenge would unlock a Mark VII-themed cosmetic, while week two's would unlock a M41 SPNKr-themed cosmetic option. Like the event pass' content, these rewards would eventually be added to the Exchange during Banished Honor and Warpath.
