- — Tenrai II haiku[2]
Tenrai II was a multiplayer event for Halo Infinite, and the second event of Season 04: Infection, having been held between July 18 and August 1, 2023. Tenrai II featured content based on the Tenrai Fractures universe, and succeeded Season 01's Tenrai Fracture event.
Unlike the first Tenrai event or Firewall, Season 04's variant of Tenrai featured two parts, each featuring only 10 tiers, culminating in 20 rewards across two unique event passes. The second of these passes, Tenrai III, was released on September 19, 2023, with Tenrai II being chronologically followed by Cyber Showdown II on August 8, 2023.
Tenrai II content[edit]
Content for Tenrai II was initially available through a 10 tier event pass, available over the event's two week run. Completing challenges over these two weeks allowed the player to progress and unlock content. Shoulder pad options earned through Tenrai II would be made available on all armor cores during Spirit of Fire in January of 2024; weapon coatings were made compatible on all weapon cores with the release of Fleetcom in July of the same year.
While initially exclusive to this event, Tenrai II's content would eventually be added to the Exchange during the Warpath operation in September of 2025, alongside Tenrai III's content.
Event pass[edit]
Weekly rewards[edit]
Two weekly challenges with exclusive rewards, an armor coating and a weapon charm, were available during Tenrai II. The Koban charm would be added to the Exchange with the release of the Tenrai IV operation in June of 2024, while Highlit Steel would be added during the Reclaimer operation in July of 2025.
| Content | Challenge | Exchange cost |
|---|---|---|
Highlit Steel (armor) |
Complete the Auto Mechanics challenge, which requires killing other Spartans with the energy sword or gravity hammer in PvP. | |
Koban |
Complete the Close Encounters challenge, which requires killing other Spartans with the MA40 assault rifle, VK78 Commando, Needler, or Sentinel beam in PvP. |
The Exchange[edit]
The Exchange refresh during the Infinite operation in November of 2025 saw the release of two Tenrai-themed armor pieces originally intended to launch during Tenrai II with Season 04: Infection. The Bladed Guard utility armor completes the set of armor present within Tenrai II's event pass, while the Heirloom Plate utility armor was intended to go with the Mountain Cave shoulder pads present in the Kawari bundle.
