The Floating Mantis Glitch is a bug present in Halo 4. When a Mantis is brought above the boundaries of the map Ravine, it will float toward the ground softly after exploding, rather than falling down at normal speed.

Walkthrough

  1. Start a forge session on Ravine.
  2. Spawn a Mantis.
  3. Grab the Mantis in edit mode, and fly upward until it explodes.

The Mantis will then slowly float down to the ground, ignoring regular gravity. It will continue to fall like this regardless of being shot at and stood on, however, because of the geometry of the Mantis, it is slightly difficult to stand on it.
