Sangheili Sanctum Superior, or simply superior, is a specialized role for Sangheili that have joined the Covenant's Sacristan Order.[1]

Overview[edit]

Roles and responsibilities[edit]

Sangheili sanctum superior is a role attained by acolytes when they have undergone specialized training and fostered extensive combat experience—either on a planet's surface or in its orbit.[1]

Equipment[edit]

Superiors wear purple robes and wrappings, with black and silver armor plates on their chest, shoulder, and legs. They notably have the mark of the Great Journey printed on their helmets and as a piece of jewellery worn on their abdomen. In combat, superiors typically use Okarda'phaa-pattern plasma rifles and Meluth'qelos-pattern energy swords. Some also employ active camouflage.[2]

Production notes[edit]

Superiors represent two distinct Sacristan equivalent of the standard Elite NPCs found in Halo: Campaign Evolved: the SpecOps Elites and the Stealth Elites, both of which similarly wear the Infiltration harness in the main campaign. Like their standard counterparts, the two types of Superiors are distinguished by their shield strength, health, and the use of active camouflage. The variant based on the Stealth Elite similarly has 100 health with no shield, while the variant based on the SpecOps Elite also has 100 health and 250 shields.[3]
