Sangheili Sanctum Acolyte
Species:	Sangheili
Affiliation:	Covenant
Group:	Sacristan Order

Sangheili Sanctum Acolyte is a specialized role for Sangheili that have joined the Covenant's Sacristan Order.

Overview

Roles and responsibilities

The role of sanctum acolytes is derived from the ancient arpaktiko warrior order; they devote themselves to matters of combat. For some members, matters of combat extends to studying UNSC weapons. Acolytes that have undergone specialized training and fostered extensive combat experience—either on a planet's surface or in its orbit—may attain the role of superior.

Equipment

Acolytes wear purple robes and wrappings, with ivory and gold armor plates on their chest, shoulder, and legs. They notably have the mark of the Great Journey printed on their helmets and as a piece of jewellery worn on their abdomen. In combat, acolytes typically use Okarda'phaa-pattern plasma rifles and Gadulo-pattern needle rifles.
