Triumph of Tolerance[2] was an agricultural support ship utilized by the Covenant as a research vessel during the Human-Covenant War.[3][4] The Minister of Harmony was stationed aboard this vessel by 2551.[1][3]
Specifications[edit]
Design details[edit]
Triumph has a roughly circular fore section intersected with a large triangular protrusion extending ventrally and a smaller rounded protrusion extending dorsally.[1] Within the fore section are two habitat domes similar to those found on Mjern-pattern agricultural support ships. The larger habitat dome is set within the center of the circular fore section and the smaller dome is set closer to the center of the vessel.[1][5] The ship's aft section consists of a rounded, elongated tail which tapers toward its middle.
Propulsion[edit]
For propulsion, the vessel features at least four pairs of repulsor engines.[1]
Armament[edit]
Triumph of Tolerance possesses multiple banks of plasma cannons along its sides, as well as several turreted plasma cannons on its dorsal surface for point defense.[1]
Operational history[edit]
Human-Covenant War[edit]
During the Human-Covenant War, the Minister of Harmony utilized Triumph of Tolerance to perform various bizarre experiments.[3]
In 2551, the ship was stationed in orbit over the recently-glassed human colony of Promise. Meanwhile, the UNSC initiated Operation: METEORITE with the objective of boarding the research vessel and obtaining data that might lead to High Charity.[3] During the operation, ORION supersoldier Avery Johnson and Spartan-II Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 infiltrated the vessel utilizing a captured Spirit, encountering the Minister of Harmony and resistance from the Covenant crew. The fighting took Johnson and John-117 throughout the ship's corridors, research facilities, and at least one of its habitat domes, liberating captured marines in the process. At some point, John-117 captured a Seraph and took the fight to the exterior of the vessel, destroying its plasma cannons and encountering Elsedda-pattern Banshees and other Seraphs.[1]
