Promise, known to the Covenant as Fergea,[3] is a former human colony world.[1][2]
History
Human-Covenant War

Promise was recently glassed by 2551.[1] Several UNSC starships attempted to defend the planet, though most were destroyed, leaving their debris in orbit.[4] The UNSC would discover that the Covenant agricultural ship Triumph of Tolerance was in orbit that year, initiating Operation: METEORITE.[5][1][2] The fires from the glassing still burned brightly on the surface.[4]
