First Lieutenant[Note 1] Williams was an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper serving within the 92nd Shock Troops Battalion's Tiger Company.[3][4]
Biography[edit]
Battle of Promise[edit]

In 2551, Lieutenant Williams and Tiger Company participated in the UNSC's defense of the human colony of Promise. Ultimately, the UNSC lost the battle, with Williams and other members of Tiger Company captured by the Covenant prior to the colony's glassing.[3]
Captured and hunted[edit]
Williams and her fellow marines were taken aboard the Triumph of Tolerance to be used in the Minister of Harmony's experiments.[3] To determine the combat effectiveness of their Jiralhanae test subjects, the San'Shyuum and his subordinates—such as Voi'Aran—would pit them against the members of Tiger Company within the vessel's habitat domes.[3][5] During Operation: METEORITE in July 2551, John-117 and Avery Johnson encountered Williams who had managed to escape from captivity along with several other marines of Tiger Company. Despite thanking Johnson for the coming to their aid, Williams displayed a strong dislike of the Spartan-IIs, dismissing John-117 as simply a PR campaign with fancy armor. However, as John-117 and Johnson fought alongside Williams to rescue the other marines from the Covenant, she begrudgingly began to respect the Spartan and his capabilities. After rescuing as many marines as they could, John-117 and Johnson sent Williams and her marines to the hangar bay to secure a way off of the ship while they continued to the bridge.[3]
Sacrifice[edit]
As John-117 and Johnson retrieved the data on High Charity from the Triumph of Tolerance's kelguid, Williams and her marines secured two Seraphs and repelled a Covenant counterattack. After learning that they had failed to kill the Minister of Harmony, Williams insisted that they had to destroy the ship to put a stop to his twisted experiments. While the Halberd-class light destroyer UNSC Burden of Proof was on station to assist, the Triumph of Tolerance's shield generators would need to be taken offline before the Covenant vessel could be destroyed. Williams and her marines volunteered for a suicide mission to destroy the generators while John-117 and Johnson used the captured Seraphs to destroy the vessel's relay nodes and fighter escort. Williams gave periodic status reports to John-117 and Johnson and sent her wounded off of the vessel in a pair of Spirits. Finally, the marines succeeded in disabling the shields. As Williams joked about having a building named after them, her transmission was suddenly cut off. With the shields down, the Burden of Proof destroyed the Triumph of Tolerance with a MAC strike, although Harmony himself managed to escape. As he and John-117 rendezvoused with the Burden, Johnson recommended Williams and the other fallen marines for a posthumous commendation.[2]
Personality and traits[edit]
Williams showed extreme pride toward the accomplishments of the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, as well as those of other UNSC Marine Corps members, such as Avery Johnson. As with many ODSTs, Williams harbored resentment towards the members of the SPARTAN-II program, referring to them as soldiers who were "built" rather than "born," like she and her compatriots.[3] She saw Spartan-IIs as little more than fancy armor and PR campaigns to boost morale, taking recognition away from the ODSTs who had earned it by representing humanity's best of the best for centuries.[3] However, after being rebuked by Johnson and fighting alongside John-117 to rescue her fellow marines, she began to respect the Spartan's capabilities.[2][3]
Williams had gray-blue eyes and brown hair which she would tie back into a bun. She had several tattoos on her arms, including one of the ODST emblem.[3]
Equipment[edit]
While imprisoned aboard Triumph of Tolerance during the events of Operation: METEORITE in 2551, Williams wore a set of heavily damaged ODST armor with a radio pack and wielded both an MA5B assault rifle and BR55 battle rifle.[2][3]

- ^ a b In Halo: Campaign Evolved, Williams is only ever referred to as either simply "Lieutenant" or "LT". Williams is an ODST, meaning that her rank should be derived from the UNICOM rank structure, which per Halo: Official Spartan Field Manual does not have a rank of Lieutenant, which is instead a Navy rank. The UNICOM structure does, however, have the ranks of Second and First Lieutenant, the latter of which is noted in the OSFM to be the position of a Company executive officer. In Campaign Evolved Williams is shown to be in command of Tiger Company, making it likely she held the rank of First Lieutenant.
