First Vanguard

First Vanguard is a Sangheili rank. It is adjacent to the rank of Kaidon, the title of First Vanguard being used in times of war. The armor of a First Vanguard is cast with soil from the Kaidon's lands, as a reminder of their sacred duty. After the War of Annihilation, the rank was made open to Spartans, however unlikely the scenario.[1]
