Stance

Stances, also referred to as poses, are customization elements featured in Halo 4, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo 5: Guardians, and Halo Infinite that allow the player to change the their Spartan or Sangheili's posture in the game's menu and post-game outro. In Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians, the pose appears on the player card. In Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the pose appears for the top three players after a multiplayer match. In Halo Infinite, the pose appears in the fireteam menu and in the multiplayer victory screen.

Halo 4[edit]
In Halo 4 stances will show up in the pre-game menu, allowing players to make themselves visually distinct before the game begins. Stances are able to be earned through the game's progression system, and through Commendations, including weapon mastery. The release of the Champions Bundle allowed players to purchase a multitude of new stances as well. With the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, none of Halo 4's stances carried over to its updated port.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection[edit]
Following Halo: The Master Chief Collection's revival and continued support starting in 2018, the game would see the addition of stances in 2021 with Series 8: Mythic's flights[1], and eventually Series 9 in 2022. Called Poses, the game's new stances are applicable across all titles in The Master Chief Collection barring Halo 3: ODST. Additionally, certain stances are applicable to Sangheili in the titles they're featured in.
Stances in Halo: The Master Chief Collection are exclusive to the player's personal player hub and to the post-game menu, where a dedicated menu shows the game's top three performers, along with their chosen stance. Like all Series 9 content, poses are
