The Siege of Palghanar was the Banished siege of at least one settlement on the Unified Earth Government colony of Palghanar.[2]
Battle
At some point, Banished forces led by War Chief Escharum lay siege to Palghanar. One settlement held out against Escharum's forces for nineteen days before they were finally wiped out.[1] During the raid, the Wraithmaster Ordo 'Mal killed hundreds owing to his expertise as a Wraith pilot.[2]
Aftermath
In May 2560, Escharum recalled the Siege of Palghanar while awaiting a final battle between himself and the Master Chief. Escharum stated that while the residents had fought well and to the end, their fate had been sealed from the start.[1]
