Due to the Halo 2 E3 Demo supposedly taking 7 months to complete, the team at Bungie had to cut numerous gameplay and story elements in order to meet the time constraints for Halo 2. Many of the elements have been by confirmed by videos and commentary on the Limited Edition special DVD.
