Armor[edit]
Neowise[edit]
Neowise was a snowman-themed helmet, first found during datamining efforts in 2021 with the release of Halo Infinite's flights, where its icon was discovered and it was able to be equipped through modifications. Presumably intended to release with the original Winter Contingency event, the helmet would never see a proper release in-game, with its only remnant being its intended icon.

Crestsworn[edit]
Crestsworn originally possessed an additional piece for the Yoroi glove's hand guard. This additional armor wasn't properly rigged to move with the player model's hands and would eventually be entirely removed, although the icon would not be updated, nor would the Redwaters Shop icon that showcased it.
Heaven's Valor[edit]
Heaven's Valor originally featured a sharp, longer protrusion along its leading edge. The utility piece would eventually be quietly altered to be symmetric on both sides.
Yoroi utility armor[edit]
All Yoroi utility armor pieces released with Season 04: Infection feature an asymmetric design. However, all utility armor with the exception of Heaven's Valor were originally designed to be symmetric, having gone as far as having symmetric icons made for them. Eventually for unknown reasons, this would be changed, their icons would be updated, and the utility pieces would have their placement adjusted on the player's character model.
Visors[edit]
Kogane[edit]
Featuring a glowing lavender and white design, along with a hexagonal pattern, Kogane was a visor intended to be released for the Yoroi armor core during Season 01: Heroes of Reach. Kogane isn't analogous to any other Yoroi visor colors in terms of design, with its existence only being known of through datamining of the game's flights in 2021. Given its coloration, it's likely Kogane was altered during development to become Wisteria, another purple-white visor. The visor's name does have a meaning in Japanese, with the term Kogane (黄金) refering to a small sum of money, or gold.

Terminator[edit]
Termination Protocol originally featured a textureless, red glowing aesthetic, originally being slated for Season 02: Lone Wolves despite being found in datamining efforts for Season 01: Heroes of Reach. This visor would ultimately never come out during Season 02, and at some point received a visual overhaul which added embossed textures to the visor's originally smooth look. The visor also originally went by the internal name "Terminator" before being given its final designation.
