Template:Article Quote VANGUARD-class Mjolnir is a variant of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor [GEN2].[1][2]
Overview
Specifications
The helmet uses a Prototype VISR 5.0 monocular plating. The chest has a duress-limiting collar base for strain testing, a component shelf for ad hoc modularity. The reactor pack has dynamic reactor vents to prevent internal expenditure.[3]
Development history
The Vanguard variant was manufactured by Hannibal Weapon Systems on New Carthage in the industrial township of Kotka.[1] Vanguard-class armor was a state-of-the-art front-line tech used primarily by SPARTAN-IV personnel in direct enemy engagement. Unlike other armor systems that facilitate secondary and tertiary needs, it focuses solely on face-to-face combat with enemy units.[1]
Vanguard is often used by Hannibal as a test bed for new technology this means it has seen more action in War Games due to its over-arching purpose.[3]
