Wounded Marine

The Wounded Marine being tended by another Marine.

The Wounded Marine is an easter egg in Halo 3: ODST Campaign level Uplift Reserve. He can be found near the Covenant LZ where the Marines are taking cover. During the fight at Uplift Nature Reserve, his ankle was broken, which drove him mad. He is being treated by Private First Class Chips Dubbo behind a ledge, and will stay there even as the player leaves.

Dialogue

• Crazed Marine: "No, no, no! You're not listening! It's a zoo, okay?"
• Dubbo: "Well, technically it's a corporate-funded wildlife reserve."
• Crazed Marine: "Semantics! This whole place is one...big...cage!"
• Dubbo: "Listen, Marine. You're wounded; you need to try and relax."
• Crazed Marine: "Except we, we're the zebras. All fenced in...and ready for the slaughter!"
• Dubbo: "And the Covenant?"
• Crazed Marine: "They're the lions...RAAAR!"
• Dubbo: "Careful. I think you just strained a metaphor."
• Crazed Marine: "Oh, oh God, oh God! Is that...serious?"
• Dubbo: "Only if you keep it up."

Trivia

• He is a reference to the various other crazed troops in the Halo series, and is even voiced by the same voice actor.
• He is the first crazed marine to be worried about the Covenant instead of the Flood.
