Carved Letters, initials rendered as a romantic gesture, are an Easter egg that can be seen in the Halo 3 campaign mission, Sierra 117.
Description[edit]
Sprinkled throughout the dense foliage of Sierra 117 are carved hearts with initials and dates. This can be seen throughout all difficulties and requires normal gameplay. Players may also view these Easter eggs via Theater after completing the mission.
Some of these carvings include:

- Sam+Grady ♥Dad
