Hellomyname Keyes is an Easter Egg found on Captain Keyes' suit. You'll find that it says HELLO MY NAME than below it another patch that says KEYES. Due to the lack of the word "is", it has been speculated that Bungie didn't have room to put the "is" in during the production process. On the left of the badge you can see the Marathon symbol.

You can see it using a 2x pistol in the Pillar of Autumn, or a 2x/8xPC/10x S2 AM sniper rifle in the Truth and Reconciliation, or in Halo Map Tools (more accurate). It can be seen clearly in the cutscene where the Master Chief arrives at the Pillar of Autumns bridge. To find it in Halo Map tools, go to Bitmap and it's the first one (capn_patches_decal).
Hellomyname Keyes is an Easter egg in Halo: Combat Evolved referring to a grammatically incorrect nametag on Captain Keyes' uniform. A patch on Keyes' chest reads "HELLO MY NAME", and the patch beneath it reads "KEYES". It is speculated that, during the production process of the game, Bungie had no room to fit the missing word, is, on the tag. On the left of the badge the Marathon symbol can be seen.

Guide
One can view the nametag using a 2×-zoomed pistol in the level The Pillar of Autumn or a 2×/8×/10×-zoomed S2 AM sniper rifle in the Truth and Reconciliation. The patch can be seen more reliably using Halo Map Tools; it is the first decal listed in Bitmap (capn_patches_decal). It can also be seen clearly in the cutscene during which the Master Chief arrives on the bridge of the Pillar of Autumn.
Trivia
* As Halo: Reach takes place immediately before Halo: Combat Evolved, it can be assumed that Keyes is wearing the same uniform. Despite this, while there is a similarly-shaped badge in the same place, it no longer reads "HELLO MY NAME KEYES", and instead is completely blank. Additionally, the Marathon symbol on the badge has been replaced with the Seventh Column symbol.
** The same applies to Keyes' appearance in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, which reuses Keyes' model from Halo: Reach.

Guide[edit]

One can view the nametag using a 2×-zoomed pistol in the level The Pillar of Autumn or a 2×/8×/10×-zoomed S2 AM sniper rifle in the Truth and Reconciliation. The patch can be seen more reliably using Halo Map Tools; it is the first decal listed in Bitmap (capn_patches_decal). It can also be seen clearly in the cutscene during which the Master Chief arrives on the bridge of the Pillar of Autumn.

Trivia[edit]

 • As Halo: Reach takes place immediately before Halo: Combat Evolved, it can be assumed that Keyes is wearing the same uniform. Despite this, while there is a similarly-shaped badge in the same place, it no longer reads "HELLO MY NAME KEYES", and instead is completely blank. Additionally, the Marathon symbol on the badge has been replaced with the Seventh Column symbol.
