The Type 18 Magnetic/Bayonet-style Claymore is a Claymore explosive used by the UNSC. Most notably equipped on the HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL Mark I ADS.[1]

Overview

Functionality

The Type 18 Magnetic/Bayonet-style Claymore were magnetic and capable of sticking to metal surfaces. It could also be impaled into nonmagnetic surfaces.[1] The Type 18 was activated by pressing a switch which would turn on a red light on the side, where after activation could blow up within 5 seconds.[2]

Usage

Some Type 18s were during the Battle of Algolis. It was used by a Marine with the call sign Ghost, who was using a prototype power armor. Ghost used one of the Claymores to destroy a Wraith, by planting it on the tank's less armored rear section.[2]
