Stances, sometimes referred to as poses, are features in Halo 4, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo 5: Guardians, and Halo Infinite that allow the player to change the their Spartan or Sangheili's posture. In Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians, the pose appears on the player card. In Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the pose appears for the top three players after a multiplayer match. In Halo Infinite, the pose appears in the fireteam menu and in the multiplayer victory screen.

Production notes[edit]

Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 3 were flighted to feature victory poses in Halo: The Master Chief Collection, but were cut from the final release of Series 8: Mythic. The victory poses were added with Series 9 on August 31st, 2022 in all games in MCC, except for Halo 3: ODST.[3]


In Halo: Infinite the stance icon for Noble Justice feature the player holding the War Games variant of Jorge personalized M247H Etilka. The icon was changed to show the player holding the default variant of the M247H machine gun appear in the game in Season 3.
