Template:Article Quote Icebox is a map featured in the cancelled Halo Online game and a remake of the Halo 2 map Turf. The map will be ported into the Halo 3 multiplayer component of Halo: The Master Chief Collection during Season 8: Mythic.[1]
Universe and lore
Icebox is set in Precinct 13, a downtown district of Tyumen.[Note 1] The map is covered in snow and ice, with several energy shield barriers installed on the main street to seal the sector off for urban combat training in War Games and a small UNSC outpost is present in the street. Outside the map, the metropolis of Tyumen can be seen. The buildings in the district have signs written in Russian, though a few bear the logo of Cascade Stronghold Technologies.
Overview
Icebox is a remake of the Halo 2 Killtacular Pack map Turf, and features an almost identical layout, being asymmetric and focusing on small-medium sized numbers of players. The map features an L-shaped main road forming the boundary of two of the map's exterior edges, with the remaining section in between formed of tight alleys and courtyards. A single neutral Warthog spawns on the corner of the large road in the middle of the map, with the sniper rifle spawning nearby on a platform. By both team spawns there is a Type-25 Brute Shot.

Changes
Changes from Turf
- The setting has been changed from Mombasa to Tyumen, Russia.
- The map is now set in a snowy environment.
- The Type-47A Scarab has been removed, leaving only rubble in its place.
- Some places are now blocked off with energy shielding.
- The buildings have a different appearance.
Changes from Halo Online to Halo 3
- The Warthog was changed from an ice/snow covered Halo: Reach M12 Warthog to a M864 Arctic Warthog.
