Operational history

The Banished operated Shade turret designs during the Second Ark Conflict in 2559. They were used by Yapyap's rebellion, and crewed with Unggoy gunners.[2] In 2560, the Banished used them to fortify key positions on Halo Installation 07.[3] Banished Shade Turrets used during the Installation 07 conflict were manufactured by the Armory of Barukaza and developed by the Bolroci workshop.[1]

Variants

The Banished have been observed employing two distinct Shade turret models. The first consists of a chassis similar to that of the Type-29 and Type-55 models, featuring an extensive layer of additional armor plating and a more enclosed cockpit to protect the operator.[2] The second bears more resemblance to the Type-26 models, albeit with armor plating substituted for energy shielding visually similar to that of the drop wall.[3]

Banished Shade turrets appear in Halo Infinite as usable gun emplacements. These are the Bolroci Workshop variants, which resemble the Type-26 Shade in appearance. The gunner is protected by shields at the front and along the sides, making it advisable to attack these turrets from the rear when possible.

Bolroci Workshop Shades are usable in both the campaign and multiplayer.
