The M965 Fortress point defense network is a close-in weapon defense system utilized by the UNSC Navy on its warships. The prototype warship UNSC Infinity, is equipped with 830 M965 70 mm guns.[1] Each Punic-class supercarrier is equipped with 100 M965 point defense guns.[2]
Production notes[edit]
The in-game cinematic model for UNSC Infinity is armed with sixteen Fortress guns arranged in banks of four: eight total guns on the top of the ship, and eight below.[3] These models can be additionally be seen on the high-resolution cinematic model for the ship used in the game's Axis Studios cutscenes.
