Template:Weapon Infobox The M870 Rampart point defense network is a defensive weapon system utilized by the UNSC Navy. Firing 50mm rounds, the M870 has a lower and narrower profile than the similar M910 Rampart. Charon-class light frigates are equipped with four M870 turrets—two on either side of the hull—each of which mounts two guns.^[1] Strident-class heavy frigates are armed with several M870 point defense guns.^[2] Stalwart-class light frigates are also armed with M870 turrets.^[3]
