Overview

Design details

Main article: M6/E Spartan Laser

Endgame is a named variant of the M6/E Spartan Laser, which features an improved battery capacity and reduced charge time at the expense of a lower damage output. As far as the chassis is concerned, Endgame appears identical to the standard Spartan Laser, albeit with a predominantly dark grey color scheme broken up by stripes of crimson and sage, and some lighter grey areas towards the bottom of the weapon and falcon emblems at the front.[2]

Usage

In late 2558, SPARTAN-IVs trained with the weapon in War Games simulations aboard the UNSC Infinity.[2]

Gameplay

Halo 5: Guardians

Endgame is an Ultra Rare requisition available at 5 energy. The Endgame's REQ card grants REQ Points 150 when sold. It operates similarly to the normal Spartan Laser but charges significantly faster, allowing the user to retaliate faster if attacked, and giving their opponents less time to respond to the targeting laser. Additionally, each shot drains only half of what a normal Spartan Laser shot would, resulting in 8 shots per a fully charged Endgame compared to only 4 for the normal Spartan Laser. To compensate for these improvements, the Endgame deals less damage than its standard counterpart, although it is still capable of destroying a normal Warthog with a single shot, provided that the entire shot connects with the target.[2]

Changes from the M6/E Spartan Laser

  • Shorter charge and cooldown times. The weapon charges up in 0.8 seconds, 60% faster from the base model.
  • Double the number of shots per full battery, resulting in a total of 8 shots.
  • Reduced damage.
