Type:

Sangheili harness

The Tlaipoz-pattern exo harness is a design pattern of exo harness employed by the Sangheili serving under the Covenant and its splinter factions.[1][2][3]

Overview[edit]

Design details[edit]

The Tlaipoz-pattern exo harness is distinguished from other exo harnesses by its transparent EVA faceshield. While the harness is upgraded for combat in zero- or low-gravity conditions, it can be used in planet-side operations; its EVA capabilities allows for operations in environments that lack oxygen,[4] and also offers protection from exotic environments, such as immense atmospheric heat.[3] This set is often fielded with an external thruster pack, adding additional mobility to the wearer in both zero-gravity conditions and ground engagements.[4]

Usage[edit]

The Tlaipoz-pattern exo harness was employed by Sangheili in the Covenant; it particularly saw extensive use among Sangheili Rangers in the Fleet of Valiant Prudence during the Fall of Reach. The harness enabled Rangers to operate as an extremely mobile infantry force, an advance scouting detachment, or simply as an augmentation of existing combat teams.[4] This armor set is typically white when worn by regular Rangers,[1] and gold when worn by Ranger Commanders.[3] The Swords of Sanghelios use a maroon color scheme.[2]

In-game information[edit]

Halo: Reach[edit]

The Ranger harness is available in Halo: Reach for use by players who choose to play as an Elite in multiplayer modes. Like other armour permutations, it confers no gameplay benefits to the player.
