The Shields of Requiem are a Covenant remnant mercenary unit renowned for their prowess in combat.[1]
History[edit]
The Shields of Requiem are a mercenary lance comprised of various Sangheili, Kig-Yar and Unggoy soldiers, who previously fought under the command of Jul 'Mdama among his forces during the Battle of Requiem and Requiem Campaign. Following 'Mdama's death later that year, several of these veterans reorganized under the banner of the Shields of Requiem, recognizing and coming to terms with the collapse of 'Mdama's empire.[2]
The Shields of Requiem currently operate out of the Lich Sundered Psalm, from which they work for any Covenant remnant leader willing to pay them.[2]
Equipment[edit]
The Shields of Requiem's Sangheili are known to use the Ranger harness, alongside the Sangheili Storm, Kig-Yar Storm and Unggoy Storm equipment. The Shields of Requiem employ Type-25 plasma pistols, Type-33 needlers, Shea'p-pattern plasma cannons, Gespu-pattern fuel rod guns and Kelos'vaarda-pattern storm rifles as weapons. They also employ Covenant portable shields.[1]
