Team Echo was a team comprised of several Spartan-IIIs of Beta Company that was known to have participated in the infamous Operation: TORPEDO.[1]

History

The members of Team Echo were recruited voluntarily from the survivors of Covenant attacks in 2537. They were trained for some eight years under the watchful eye of Lieutenant Commander Kurt Ambrose on the highly classified planet Onyx.

Operation: TORPEDO

In 2545, the majority of Beta company (300 in total) took part in Operation: TORPEDO, a plan to disrupt Covenant refuelling runs. After the completion of the operation, all members of this group, along with most of Beta Company, were pronounced KIA as the explosion killed almost every SPARTAN-III.
