Production notes[edit]

The ''Mona Lisa'' debut trailer at Comic-Con.
The motion comic adaptation of The Mona Lisa was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2010 with a trailer showcasing the animation and slated for release later that year.[2] The project was ultimately delayed due to a want to get the animation "just right",[14] and was later debuted in April 2011. The authors of the original story, Tessa Kum and Jeff VanderMeer, were both given early access to the first two episodes of the series.[2]

The animation for the short was produced by Juan Richard Feliz, aka "ONE", with audio provided by Pyramind Studios, both of whom worked on the previous motion comics Halo: The Return and Halo: Midnight in the Heart of Midlothian.
