Overview[edit]

Design details[edit]

Main article: Energy sword (fiction)

The Meluth'qelos-pattern fireblade is one of the many energy sword variants manufactured by the Covenant and inherited by the Banished.[1]

Usage[edit]

The Meluth'qelos-pattern fireblade is a weapon carried by high-ranking Sangheili in the Banished; during the Battle for Zeta Halo, it saw extensive use among Ultras, Warlords, Sangheili Special Operations Officers, and Honor Guards.[5] It is one of the more common designs adopted by the Banished.[1]

Variants[edit]

  • Bloodblade: As with many other patterns of energy swords, the Meluth'qelos-pattern energy sword can be customized as a bloodblade, with red-colored plasma.[7] Jega 'Rdomnai carried one as his personal energy sword.[8]
  • Duelist Energy Sword: A cobalt-colored Meluth'qelos-pattern energy sword with a white hilt and a lightweight frame, granting the user increased movement speed.[9] It was used by Okro 'Vagaduun during the Battle for Zeta Halo.[5]
