The 80mm Ball-Mounted Rotary Cannon is a weapon carried on UNSC booster frames.[2][5][3]
Overview
Design details
The weapon consists of a seven-barrelled belt-fed rotary cannon, capable of firing 80mm munitions at nearby targets with an extremely high rate of fire. The turret assembly is mounted to its host craft via the use of a ball mount, which is then connected to a mechanical arm.[1]
Usage
The weapon is primarily mounted on the underside of the OF92 Booster Frame, with one mounted on each side of the craft underneath the wings. It can be used by Booster Frames engaging infantry inside starship hangar bays, or EVA-outfitted troops.[1][4]
